As an online writer, my writng services income is very much geared to the number of articles I write. For a long time I've been looking for a campervan that was just right for me. It needed to be small a agile in traffic, economic on the fuel to suit my tiny writer's pockets yet large enough so I don't have to make the bed up at the end of the day and sleep with my legs bent at the knees.

These days, even when I'm not travel writing, I find that a photo really lifts a page, whether I am writing a fictional story or a general purpose article so therefore I take my trusty digital camera almost everywhere I go.

I regularly like to get away from my home office and do my writing in my camper van but, occasionally, I like to get even further away and have a sort of writers retreat in Southbourne, Bournemouth where I have some in-laws who have an ideal small family hotel.

My brother-in-law often pops down for his own personal writing retreat at Newpoint Hotel. He says it enables him to get away from his family to concentrate on his writing and being somewhere different stimulates his creativity.

The best thing about travel writing is that there are so many places to visit and they are all different. Added to this, we are all experts on somewhere because that is where we live.
